Bright colors, incendiary rhythms and an atmosphere of true international unity reigned on the stage during the regional tour of the XV Republican Festival of National Cultures, held in Korma.

In this large—scale event, which took place on November 1, foreign students of Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel, representing distant and sunny African countries - the Republic of Gabon and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, took their rightful place.

The event traditionally brought together the best creative teams and individual performers from all over the Gomel region, becoming a real celebration of multinational unity. This year, performances by representatives of the African continent graced the stage diversity.

Students of Gomel Polytechnic University prepared a musical gift for the audience and the jury they performed two compositions, each of which carries a deep meaning. The song "More than Love" sounded like a lyrical confession that touched the hearts of the audience, and the song "Remember your Traditions" in their performance turned into a powerful and energetic anthem of cultural memory and national identity. Their artistry, coherence and sincerity caused a flurry of applause.

"It is a great honor for us to represent our culture here in Belarus," one of the participants shared his impressions. We want to show that Africa is not only savannahs and jungles, but also a rich cultural heritage full of beauty and soul. We are very glad that we were so warmly received."

The creative success was officially confirmed at the award ceremony. At the end of the festival, representatives of Gabon and the DRC were awarded honorary Diplomas for preserving and promoting the distinctive culture of the peoples living in Belarus. This award recognizes their contribution to strengthening intercultural dialogue and demonstrating the rich diversity of the university's student community.

Their active lifestyle and desire to share their culture make our university a truly international and open space. Such victories are important not only for their personal portfolio, but also for the formation of a tolerant and friendly atmosphere in general."
