Student health: an important meeting was held at the student residence of Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel

The student years are not only a time of intensive study, but also an important stage of personality formation, when habits and responsible approaches to one's own life and health are developed. For students who have come to Belarus from other countries to receive education, understanding the local healthcare system and access to reliable medical information is especially important. That is why on January 27, an open and confidential meeting of foreign female students with an expert doctor took place in the dormitory of the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel. The lecturer was Alexey Nikolaevich Sokolov, an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Yunost Youth Health Center. The event, which took place in the format of a live dialogue, was devoted to key aspects of maintaining reproductive health, infection prevention and an informed approach to contraception.

Alexey Nikolaevich Sokolov highlighted in an accessible form a wide range of topics relevant to a modern young woman. The main focus was on the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and the formation of responsible behavior. Special attention was paid to the prevention of HIV infection. During the conversation, the doctor touched upon the topic of reproductive health as an integral part of a person's overall well-being. It was noted that health is a state of complete physical and social well—being, and not just the absence of disease. The speaker spoke about the importance of family planning, maintaining health for future motherhood and the need for regular preventive checkups that help identify possible problems at the earliest stages.
