Bright colors, vibrant rhythms, and an atmosphere of true unity—this is how the international friendship evening unfolded in Student Dormitory No. 2. On September 26, Sukhoi Gomel State Technical University became a bridge between cultures, celebrating Turkmenistan's Independence Day with students from this sunny country.

The event brought together pre-university students from Turkmenistan, representatives of the university administration, and staff. Warm greetings were extended to the international students by Natalia Leonidovna Zhuravskaya, Head of the International Relations Department; Elena Anatolyevna Lashkevich, Methodologist of the Pre-University Training and Career Guidance Department; Elsherbini Salah Mohamed Elsayed, Irina Mikhailovna Rubanovich, specialists of the Ideological and Educational Work Department; and Elena Viktorovna Klakotskaya, Dormitory Counselor.

The ceremonial portion of the evening began with the performance of the Turkmen anthem. Guests were told about the activities of the international "Friendship" club and the university's traditions of celebrating significant dates for the countries our students represent.

Furthermore, a true "cultural marathon" awaited the participants! They immersed themselves in poetry, listening to poems about the distant and beautiful homeland of Turkmen students, competed in an intellectual quiz where the grand prize was notebooks with the GSTU logo, and became true artists in a poster contest where creative inspiration reigned supreme instead of competition.

The Belarusian and Turkmen students were especially delighted with the "Cultural Diversity of Turkmenistan" exhibition. Here, they could literally experience this unique culture: examine folk art and learn a lot.

The highlight of the evening was the fiery lezginka, which left no one sitting still and energized everyone!

Natalia L. Zhuravskaya, Head of the International Relations Department, noted: "Evenings like these are the best proof that true friendship transcends distance and cultural differences."

The evening, of course, ended with the traditional group photo, capturing the warm atmosphere of unity and interethnic harmony that is the hallmark of Sukhoi State Technical University. Vibrant emotions, new acquaintances, and a sense of one great international brotherhood—these were the main results of this celebration.
