Polytechnic University students supported a stage of the Belarusian Cross-Triathlon and Duathlon Championship.
On August 17, a stage of the Belarusian Cross-Triathlon and Duathlon Championship was held on the Central Beach in Gomel. The Republican Volunteer Center turned to the volunteer center of the Sukhoi Gomel State Technical University for assistance, and Polytechnic University student volunteers actively participated in organizing the competition.
The Polytechnic University volunteer center quickly assembled a team of student volunteers ready to work in various competition zones. Volunteers accompanied the athletes at the start and finish, directed participants along the courses, manned key checkpoints, provided hydration, and assisted with equipment checkout and distribution.
Over 150 athletes aged 7 to 65 participated in the event. Categories included both juniors and adults, making the competition both large-scale and spectacular. Competition was intense, with participants achieving varying results, demonstrating endurance, technique, and the will to win. Fans and volunteers were also present, actively supporting the athletes
The assistance of student volunteers ensured a high level of organization and a comfortable environment for participants, which is important for the development of triathlon and duathlon in the region.
The championship organizers expressed their gratitude to the volunteers of the Gomel State Technical University named after P.O. Sukhoi for their coordinated work, professionalism, and responsibility, which contributed to the successful completion of the stage.
The coordinated work of the Polytechnic University volunteers and the active support of the participants made the championship stage a vibrant and successful event for the city of Gomel.
