Polytechnic University at the "Slavic Unity" Festival
On June 28, 2025, Gomel became a center of attraction for fraternal peoples and hosted the traditional meeting of border regions, "Slavic Unity – 2025," which was dedicated on this year to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
A grand procession of thousands, starting from A.A. Gromyko. Representatives of the Sukhoi Gomel State Technical University, along with official delegations, work collectives, and public organizations, actively participated in the ceremonial march.
The university administration, students, and faculties of the Polytechnic University proudly carried the flags of the Gomel Region and the Republic of Belarus, demonstrating their commitment to the traditions of friendship and cooperation between the fraternal peoples.
The column marched in unison through the city's central streets to Lenin Square, where the main celebration site was located. Guests enjoyed the grand opening of the event and a vibrant concert featuring groups from Gomel and Bryansk.
On this day, an engineering extravaganza unfolded on the site near Gomel State Medical University! Sukhoi Gomel State Technical University also presented numerous interesting exhibits.
The "Technical Ceramics and Nanomaterials" laboratory amazed the audience with a variety of ceramic products: from electrical and refractory ceramics to porous and special ceramics, as well as biodegradable composite materials.
The student research laboratory "Research, Design, and Computer Modeling of Processes in Materials Science, Metallurgy, and Materials Processing" showcased master models and tooling components created using cutting-edge technologies.
Furthermore, our university presented projects from participants and winners' diplomas from the national competition "100 Ideas for Belarus," as well as an impressive 1:12 scale model of the BT-7 tank created by a talented GSTU student.
Polytechnic University has once again proven itself a breeding ground for engineering talent and a generator of innovative ideas capable of changing the world for the better!
Furthermore, on this day, Gomel Polytechnic University presented the city and its residents with a wonderful concert program prepared by the university's talented creative teams, which transformed the embankment into a true center of attraction!
The audience was treated to vibrant vocal performances, fiery dances, sparkling humor, and a sea of positive emotions! The talented students and staff of the university demonstrated their skills and charged the audience with their energy!
The concert was a pleasant surprise and a wonderful addition to the Youth Day festive program, putting Gomel residents and visitors in a good mood.
Participation in the "Slavic Unity – 2025" festival was an opportunity for university representatives to express their solidarity, strengthen spiritual ties, and honor the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
