On June 11–12, Vice-Rector for Research Andrei Boyko took part in events dedicated to Russia Day, City Day of Surgut, and the 60th anniversary of Surgut being granted city status. He participated as part of the official delegation from the city of Gomel.

The delegation also included:

Chairperson of the Gomel City Council of Deputies Elena Aleksina;

Deputy General Director for Commercial Affairs of OJSC “Milkovita” Alexander Kivonogov;

First Vice-Rector of BelSUT Yuri Samodum;

and Vice-Rector for Research of Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel, Andrei Boyko.

As part of the program, business meetings and negotiations were held with organizations and enterprises of Surgut.

A roadmap was signed between the Surgut City Duma and the Gomel City Council of Deputies.

An agreement on cooperation was concluded between Surgut State University and P.O. Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel.

The delegation visited the university’s laboratories, where Andrei Boyko presented its educational and research potential. Priority areas for scientific collaboration were identified.
