On May 24, 2025, 11 students from Gomel State Technical University (GSTU), under the guidance of Elena Valeryevna Voityshenyuk, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Belarusian and Foreign Languages, participated in the heartwarming charity event “I Am Home.”

The event was held as part of the “Night of Museums” and organized by the G. Kh. Vaschenko Art Gallery, the Gomel Regional Public Association for Animal Protection “Lapki”, and the newspaper “Gomelskaya Pravda.”

GSTU students engaged visitors with interactive contests and riddles about animals, captivating both adults and children. Each participant not only had fun but also learned fascinating facts about their four-legged friends.

Additionally, students donated 60 kilograms of pet food to the shelter, making a meaningful contribution to the care of homeless animals. Attendees experienced many memorable moments, including:

🐶 Enthralling performances by service dogs and interactions with canine experts

👩‍⚕️ Useful veterinary and grooming consultations

🛍 A pet supply fair offering essential items for animal lovers.
Children and parents enjoyed participating in the “Happy Tails” art showcase, as well as creative workshops and a crafts exhibition.

The event was attended by Alexander Valeryevich Shapovalov, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work at GSTU, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering a sense of responsibility and social engagement among students.
