On May 14, the annual meeting of the International Alliance of Architectural and Technological Universities of the Silk Road took place in Xi'an, China—an ancient capital rich in history.
Representing Belarus in this alliance, Sukhoi State Technical University took an active role. During the presidium meeting, GSSTU’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Grigory Petrishin, participated in key discussions.
As one of the alliance’s founding members, GSTU was involved in the unanimous approval of nine new universities from eight different countries, further strengthening international cooperation.
The alliance welcomed universities from Russia, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Uzbekistan, and Malaysia.
Additionally, following the rotational principle, the new chair of the alliance was elected—Osh Technological University from Kyrgyzstan. The meeting featured a report on the alliance’s activities and planning discussions for the upcoming year, including: • Student & faculty exchange programs • Joint scientific research projects • International publications GSTU’s active role in this alliance opens new opportunities for students and faculty, offering them a chance to develop creatively, gain fresh knowledge, and collaborate with partner universities worldwide.
