Sukhoi State Technical University Wins Innovation Project Competition!
In April 2025, Saint Petersburg hosted HI-TECH 2025, a major international exhibition dedicated to high technology, innovation, and investment in science and engineering. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus actively participated in this event. As part of the exhibition, the "Best Innovation Project & Best Scientific-Technical Development of the Year" competition took place. This competition helps promote innovative technologies and enhances the reputation of organizations as reliable partners capable of solving complex challenges in science, industry, and business.
Competition Highlights: • 69 projects from 46 organizations competed in 50 categories, covering various fields such as engineering, metallurgy, robotics, nanotechnology, IT, ecology, biotechnology, and medicine. • 11 Belarusian universities presented 33 scientific-technical projects in areas like microwave measurement systems, innovative materials, food technologies, personalized medicine, instrument engineering, energy technology, ecology, and more.
Sukhoi State Technical University’s Winning Projects: This year, Sukhoi State Technical University participated with two innovative projects: 1. New Complex-Alloyed Powder Materials – Created from fine metal waste to develop laser and arc protective coatings. 2. Advanced Material Processing Methods & Cutting Tools – Focused on improving modern manufacturing techniques. Both projects were presented by Professor Mikhail Ivanovich Mikhailov, head of the Robotic Systems Department. Results & Achievements: • Gold Medal – Awarded to the powder material innovation. • Silver Medal – Given to the advanced material processing project.
