Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Polytechnic University Participates in the Opening of the BRICS Engineering Congress

Today, the BRICS Engineering Congress opened in Shenzhen, China. Representatives from Belarus were invited, including Belarusian State Technological University, Grodno Science and Technology Center, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, and Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel—a major regional multidisciplinary engineering university.

GSTU was represented by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Grigory Petrishin, who delivered a presentation on the university’s educational and scientific activities. During the congress, the initiative to establish the Federation of Engineering Organizations of BRICS Countries (FEIBRICS) was announced, and the first meeting of its founding members was held.

Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel is among the initial members of the federation. One of the expected outcomes of the federation’s work is broad academic exchange of students among participating universities.

Colleagues from China, Brazil, and Russia expressed interest in training and retraining their engineers at Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel, which is internationally recognized for its scientific research and active involvement in global initiatives.
