X Open Interuniversity Friendship Creative Festival Took Place at Polytechnic University

The Republic of Belarus is a shared home for many peoples of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. On April 24, Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel warmly welcomed international students from various universities across Belarus, transforming into a vibrant hub of unity through music, songs, and dance—a center of friendship and optimism.

This year marked the tenth anniversary of a cherished university tradition—the Interuniversity Friendship Creative Festival, eagerly anticipated at Polytechnic University.

The festival is not just a symbol of peace and interethnic harmony in Belarus, but also a celebration of the cultural wealth and creative potential of different nationalities. It is a unique opportunity to witness the constellation of talents from students who live, study, and work in the country.

Before the grand event began, guests and participants explored an exhibition of national cultural artifacts in the cultural and sports complex lobby, immersing themselves in the diverse traditions of the world. For several hours, international students captivated audiences with their high-level performances, creating a spectacular showcase of artistic talents.

They gave their all to express their cultures through vibrant artistic performances. Songs in different languages alternated with dazzling choreographic compositions—some graceful and flowing, others fiery and energetic—each timeless in its beauty and authenticity.

The festival left an unforgettable impression on spectators, who enthusiastically applauded the performers. Traditional costumes from Turkmenistan, Sri Lanka, and India, along with the passion and expressiveness of each performance, created a truly festive atmosphere. The stage was literally “on fire” from the energy of the participants. The audience couldn't sit still! They sang along, danced, applauded and shouted “Bravo!”, generously sharing their energy with the participants.

The festival concluded with an award ceremony, where participants received diplomas and prizes for victories in various categories. As he presented the well-earned awards, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work Alexander Valeryevich Shapovalov expressed his gratitude:
