On April 16–17, 2025, A.А. Boyko, Vice Rector for Scientific Work, and E.R. Karpov, Specialist of the International Relations Department, visited Lanzhou University of Technology (Lanzhou, People’s Republic of China) to present the scientific and educational potential of GSTU, deepen the development of scientific and educational ties between universities and countries, and sign a Cooperation Agreement.

After presenting information about both universities and conducting negotiations, the parties signed a Cooperation Agreement that lays the groundwork for joint scientific research, faculty and student exchanges.

Following the signing of the Agreement, the GSTU delegation held a meeting with faculty members and students of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Lanzhou Polytechnic. During the meeting, the Belarusian side showcased the university's latest developments in the field of technologies for applying wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant coatings, as well as innovations in the area of "New Materials with Predefined Properties."

After the discussions, the university delegation visited the school’s scientific laboratories.
