A Council of University Rectors was held in Gomel, with the participation of Artur Putsiata, the Rector of Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel.

The meeting began with a ceremonial moment: Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Dmitry Aleinikov and council members congratulated Nikolai Kazakov on his appointment as the Rector of BelSUT (Belarusian State University of Transport).

It was emphasized that according to the results of the recent republican Olympiad, students from the Gomel region performed excellently. Universities in the region have a responsible task - to attract talented students and turn them into first-class specialists.

After the meeting, the participants joined the celebration of national cultures in the foyer of the university. The students also prepared a concert program for the guests.
