The socialization of international students in dormitories is a crucial aspect of their adaptation to a new cultural and educational environment. Dormitories often serve as the first place where international students begin interacting with other students, which can significantly influence their experience and comfort level. It is essential to maintain a friendly and supportive atmosphere in the dormitory.
Cleanliness and order contribute to creating a welcoming and pleasant environment where students can more easily communicate and engage with one another. Comfortable and tidy living conditions help students focus on their studies and reduce stress levels. Maintaining cleanliness is directly related to physical health. Clean rooms reduce the risk of infections and allergies, which is especially important for students who may be stressed and tired.

Problems with cleanliness can arise for a variety of reasons, including cultural differences, lack of awareness of rules and regulations, and lack of habitual living together. Some students may experience stress or anxiety related to the need to maintain cleanliness. To improve the processes of socialization, adaptation, integration into a new environment, and the creation of a supportive atmosphere in dormitories, specialists from the Department of Ideological and Educational Work organize informational events. These events aim to explain to international students the basic rules of conduct and maintaining cleanliness in the dormitory.

In the student café of Dormitory №1 at Sukhoi State Technical University, a round table discussion titled "Maintaining Cleanliness and Order in the Dormitory" was held with participants from the Pre-University Training and Career Guidance Department. The goals of the round table were to discuss the importance of cleanliness and order in the dormitory as a way to improve students’ quality of life, develop joint initiatives to enhance living conditions, and address potential issues while exploring solutions.
During the round table, participants discussed matters related to maintaining cleanliness in living spaces, which impact not only comfort but also students' health. Attendees were reminded that they have access to psychological support to help them cope with negative emotions.
In conclusion, it was decided to form a working group consisting of international students for further collaboration. This group will help maintain order, identify issues at early stages, monitor sanitary conditions in the living quarters, and provide feedback. Plans were made to conduct workshops on hygiene and cleanliness, helping students understand the importance of maintaining order. These activities will include training on basic cleaning principles and the proper use of household chemicals. All suggestions and feedback from the round table participants were carefully considered and acknowledged.

Maintaining cleanliness in dormitory living spaces is an essential aspect of student life that requires attention and support from educators, dormitory administration, and the university. Effective programs and initiatives aimed at educating and engaging students in the process of upholding order can significantly enhance the quality of life in dormitories and contribute to creating a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Establishing support groups where international students can share their experiences, receive advice, and gain recommendations can help reduce stress and feelings of isolation during their adaptation period.
