On January 27, the Polytechnic University dormitory became a real center of oriental magic: the Chinese New Year was celebrated there! It was an evening filled with bright emotions, traditions and, of course, delicious food.
Everyone was invited to the celebration, having prepared an interesting program for them. The immersion into the culture of the Celestial Empire began with a fascinating master class on writing Chinese symbols with pens and ink. Everyone was able to try themselves as a calligrapher and create unique works of art!
Next, the students plunged into the world of traditional patterns and began cutting them out of paper. It turned out to be not only exciting, but also very atmospheric.
What would New Year be without delicious food? The guys prepared dumplings together - a traditional dish that brings everyone together at one table. And, of course, after cooking there was a tasting.
But that's not all! Chinese students surprised the audience with their New Year's song, which is believed to bring happiness. Everyone sang along and danced to this magical melody. And to add a little Belarusian flavor, our students introduced the guests to the Russian folk instrument - the balalaika. The sound of this instrument has become a real bridge between cultures! At the end of the evening, the participants were given sweet gifts with the symbol of our country - the bison. This is a small sign of friendship and togetherness that we hope to keep for many years to come!
New Year's Eve became not just a holiday, but a real exchange of cultures and emotions. Thanks to everyone who came and made this holiday unforgettable!
