In 2024, 11 young researchers from the People's Republic of China enrolled in the postgraduate program of our university. To better understand the specifics of studying at a Belarusian university, conducting scientific research, their design and preparation of dissertations, the first training scientific and practical seminar was held.

The vice-rector for scientific work, Professor Boyko A.A., made an opening speech, who praised the graduate students for their desire for scientific research, spoke about the interaction of the graduate student with the supervisor and the requirements for certification of graduate students. He also mentioned the broad support for young scientists at our university and offered assistance on all organizational and scientific issues. Following this, the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of Sukhoi State Technical University, Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, Martyanov Yu.V., delivered a presentation titled 'Stages of Preparing and Defending a Ph.D. Dissertation: The Experience of a Young Scientist in 2024.' He shared his insights on how to streamline the research process and accelerate the preparation of a dissertation for subsequent examination and defense. The Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Development and Hydro-Pneumatic Automation at Sukhoi State Technical University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor A.B. Nevzorova, delivered a presentation titled 'Methodology of Dissertation Research: Challenges and Structure of Dissertations, Methodological Requirements for Their Design and Content.' She showcased a presentation with a Chinese translation and references to regulatory documents of the Higher Attestation Commission of Belarus, which establish the rules for certifying highly qualified scientific personnel. Professor Nevzorova also emphasized the importance of testing postgraduate students' scientific results at conferences and in the journals of Sukhoi State Technical University in 2025. Simultaneous translation into Chinese was provided using an intelligent translation tool on a smartphone, making the information accessible and comprehensible. At the end of the meeting, the Chinese postgraduate students expressed their gratitude and hope that such gatherings would be organized on a regular basis.
