Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel has been added to the list of accredited and recognized higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Currently, only 9 Belarusian universities are included in this list, which is published on the official website of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Jordan.

Recognition of bachelor's degrees from the P.O. Sukhoi State Technical University in Jordan will allow us to develop international cooperation between countries, invite foreign students to study, implement joint educational programs with universities in this country, and begin an academic exchange of teachers and students.

Recognition of GSTU diplomas became possible thanks to the visit of the head of the international relations department of our university, Natalya L. Zhuravskaya, to Jordan in 2022 to participate in the collective thematic exhibition “Education in Belarus” as part of the Belarusian delegation. Then a representative of the university, within the framework of the round table “Promising areas of cooperation in the field of education and science between the Republic of Belarus and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” met with a representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the kingdom, discussing possible cooperation.

After which, the staff of the International Relations Department prepared a package of documents and translated them into English,
necessary for a detailed analysis of the scientific and educational activities of the university. As a result, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Jordan decided to recognize undergraduate diplomas from the P.O. Sukhoi State Technical University in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
