On October 24, a plenary meeting of the XV International Scientific and Technical Conference “Modern Problems of Mechanical Science” (scientific readings dedicated to P.O. Sukhoi) was held, at which greetings were made by the rector of the university, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Putsiata A.V., Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Myshkin N.K., First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of BelNIPIneft, Ph.D. Rakutko A.G. and Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications Moshak N.N.

According to established tradition, the rector presented the Diploma to the laureate of the P.O. Sukhoi for the best research work in 2024 to the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Ph.D. Petrishin G.V., who presented a plenary report on the results of his scientific research. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus N.K. Myshkin also made presentations. and Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical Supply Zalizny D.I. All speakers presented the results of scientific research that have found practical application in sectors of the real sector of the economy. The conference continued its work in 8 sections, where participants presented their reports in person, as well as via videoconference. Based on the reports of the section leaders, 152 reports were made. On October 25, 2024, at the final plenary meeting, the organizing committee summed up the results of the conference. Considering the relevance of the issues raised, the high interest of specialists in various fields of science and technology, as well as the scientific level of the research being carried out, it was decided to consider it appropriate to hold the next XVI conference “Modern problems of mechanical engineering” on the basis of the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel in 2026.
