On October 18–19, the city of Gomel hosted the Republican socio-cultural event “Unity Marathon”. Thematic exhibitions were held at Gomel universities for two days. At the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel, an exhibition of unique rare posters from the collection of the National Library of Belarus “With a Quality Mark” was organized. An interesting project from the National Library - the exhibition “Books as a gift to the President” was shown at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.

Foreign students of Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel from China, Morocco, Nigeria, India, Sri Lanka shared their impressions of the republican socio-cultural event: Bughdda Abdellatif, from Morocco: “The exhibitions we attended are an important event for us. We saw unique books presented to the President of the Republic of Belarus, got acquainted with interesting posters from the times of the USSR, saw beautiful, kind people who love their country, want to work and live in peace with other peoples”; Afun Ezekiel Anuoluwapo, from Nigeria: “I liked the organization of the exhibitions, the friendly attitude towards exhibition visitors”; Xie Zhanlei, from China: “Very beautiful, interesting, a lot of people and impressions, everyone smiles and greets each other”; Chakraborty Sunirmal, from India: “We are very grateful to the universities, the organizers of the event, for the wonderful opportunity to attend such wonderful events!”
