On October 16, 2024, a delegation from the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel, headed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs G.V. Petrishin. takes part in the opening ceremony of the international forum “Mineral resources as the basis of national sovereignty - personnel and innovation environment”, which takes place in St. Petersburg as part of the BRICS 2024 summit.

As part of the forum, students Bocharov Nikita, Mironenko Andrey, graduate student Nevzorov Maxim will present reports on their scientific developments, and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs G.V. Petrishin took part in a discussion of current problems of education and science in the field of mining with the heads of leading technical universities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

The host of the event was traditionally the St. Petersburg Mining University of Empress Catherine II, with which our university has developed close scientific and academic ties. Our students receive additional education as part of the summer and winter schools of Mining, and university teachers publish joint articles in ranking scientific journals.

The result of the forum will be the opportunity for the participation of Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel in network training in the field of mining, which will significantly improve the quality of training and increase the recognition of our university in the world community.
