On an official visit to the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel, a delegation arrived from the Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology (People's Republic of China), headed by University President Han Yongquan.

The first steps for interaction were taken at the end of 2022, when the rectors of the two universities signed a Cooperation Agreement and agreed on a roadmap for interaction in the scientific, educational and cultural spheres. Over the years, universities have held a number of online meetings and visits, as a result of which a joint application was submitted to carry out scientific work in the field of research of high-strength steels, Chinese citizens were attracted to study at the Gomel Polytechnic Master's program and an agreement was reached to open a 'Center for the Study of Chinese Language and Culture' on the basis of the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel.

The opening of the Center for the Study of Chinese Language and Culture is a very significant event. The center will provide an opportunity to deeply study and transmit the linguistic traditions, customs, folklore, art and other aspects of the culture of this wonderful country.

Thus, as part of the visit of the foreign delegation, the grand opening of the Center took place, which will become an island for further interaction.

As a result of the negotiations, a Protocol of the meeting was signed, in which the parties outlined the main areas of cooperation for the coming year, namely:

development of joint curriculum projects necessary for the implementation of joint educational programs;

selection of candidates for internships at both universities;

continuation of scientific cooperation through the preparation of joint scientific publications and applications for scientific grants;

intensification of student mobility between universities.
