Polytechnic representative - participant of the XIV Republican Festival of National Cultures
The 14th Republican Festival of National Cultures was held in Grodno. From June 7 to 9, the streets of the picturesque city presented bright and exciting programs reflecting the richness of the national heritage. This festival is not just a gathering of representatives of different countries, but a real kaleidoscope of cultural diversity, where each performance becomes a bright stroke. Our university was represented at the festival by a specialist of the department of educational work with youth, Elsherbini Salah Mohamed Elsayed, who became the only Egyptian to take part in the event. He greeted the audience and thanked the Belarusians for their hospitality. The holiday united thousands of people. It gave every person, no matter what faith or nationality they were, the opportunity to beautifully and elegantly demonstrate their cultural customs in a single friendly Belarusian family. All the traditional elements of the festival were preserved this year: the procession of diasporas, national farmsteads, an exhibition and sale of handicrafts. They did not forget to plant new trees in the Friendship Square. On the first day, the grand opening of the festival of national cultures took place, during which the diasporas presented their wedding ceremonies. On the second day, the courtyards began their work - one of the most striking episodes of the holiday. Representatives of 36 nationalities demonstrated their traditions, creativity, and national cuisine at 19 national courtyards located in the historical part of the city. As always, folk songs, music, and poems were heard, dance groups performed, and family rituals were demonstrated. The festival's scope amazed even those who had repeatedly taken part in this wonderful celebration. But the most important thing here is the atmosphere of kindness and mutual respect of representatives of different nations, for which the festival was created in its time.
