Exhibition "Youth Day in China" was held at the Polytechnic
Every year on May 4, China celebrates Youth Day. This is a national holiday that is political in nature. It is associated with an important historical event in the history of the formation of Chinese democracy. It was on May 4, 1919, that mass protests by young people began against the decisions made at the Versailles Peace Conference regarding the territories that had previously belonged to the German Empire. Subsequently, the protests became a kind of impetus for the beginning of the national liberation movement in China. Today, May 4 is one of the significant dates widely celebrated by the Chinese people. On this day, festive celebrations are held, and newspapers publish festive articles and reports. From year to year, thousands of students from Chinese universities take part in grand parades and rallies dedicated to the memorable event. On this day, an exhibition of Chinese cultural items was held at GSTU, which was actively visited by both Belarusian students and natives of the land of the rising sun studying within the walls of the Polytechnic. The children enthusiastically examined the exhibits and got acquainted with the national color.
