At GSTU held a meeting with foreign students dedicated to compliance with fire safety rules

Winter is not only cold, snow, frost, but also a time when you need to be more attentive to fire safety and remember that a fire is much easier to prevent than to extinguish. On February 8, foreign students living in the dormitories of the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel was reminded that compliance with fire safety rules is the duty of every citizen. Students who came to Belarus from the Kingdom of Morocco and the Libyan Arab Republic were addressed by employees of the department for educational work with youth, who focused the attention of the meeting participants on the rules of living in the dormitory, and by engineer of the department of labor protection, environment and fire safety Nina Ivanovna Maybogina. She spoke in detail about what personal household electrical appliances are allowed to be used in the dormitory and noted that bringing, storing and using electric heating devices for heating the room and cooking food in the room or block is prohibited.

At the end of the meeting, educational psychologist Irina Mikhailovna Rubanovich answered questions regarding the rules of living in the hostel, and emphasized that strict requirements are aimed primarily at the safety of the students themselves. “Failure to comply with fire safety rules and the rules of residence in the hostel can lead to unpleasant and life-threatening situations,” Irina Mikhailovna emphasized to the students.
