On January 16, the delegation of the Council of Young Scientists of the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel. took part in the II Republican Forum of Young Scientists “Youth Initiatives in Solving Scientific Problems in the Modern World”, held at the Belarusian State University of Transport.

During the plenary session, reports were heard on the problems of modern transport, the intricacies of writing articles for a peer-reviewed publication, creating a dissertation and the nuances of filling out a dissertation research.

The Polytechnic delegation visited various laboratories and classrooms of the University of Transport, having the opportunity to become familiar with the modern approach to the educational process: training in a 3D classroom, the use of large-scale desktop models of structures and landscapes for designing bridges and crossings, the use of simulation laboratories that simulate real traffic, etc.

As part of the program, young scientists from our university also took part in team building events and collaboration in a small team (networking). During the event, teams were asked to develop an impromptu project on one of the current topics, and then submit it for evaluation.

In particular, representatives of the university proposed a concept of a service that would improve any type of transport. Having put forward the idea of ​​​​creating a “Train of Happiness”, traveling from Belarus to Egypt through a number of countries, the guys presented a real hotel inside, consisting of a restaurant car, a hobby car, a spa car and a relaxation car. The jury appreciated the original and creative approach.
