On December 15, 2023, a delegation from Lanzhou Polytechnic University (People's Republic of China) visited Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel. Purpose of the visit: development of scientific and technical cooperation with Belarusian partners in the study, development and implementation of new materials, as well as consideration of the possibility of joint implementation of a scientific project in this area of ​​research with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. The visit was carried out within the framework of the implementation of agreements adopted by the Committee on Scientific and Technical Cooperation of the Chinese-Belarusian Intergovernmental Cooperation Commission.

         A response presentation was made by the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Petrishin G.V. and told the Chinese partners about similar research and development that is being carried out at our university, as well as about the activities of the scientific laboratory on strengthening materials, which aroused keen interest among Chinese colleagues and a discussion of possible prospects for cooperation.

         Issues of academic cooperation and the possibility of joint training in undergraduate and graduate educational programs were also discussed at the meeting. Following the meeting, the parties exchanged contact information and agreed to begin work on preparing the necessary documents for applying for funding for a scientific project to study, develop and implement new materials by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China.
