December 8, 2023 Rector of the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel Arthur V. Putsiata delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the International Conference “Silk Road 2023” on cooperation and integration of industry, education, research and application of “green” metallurgy and new materials.

Plenary reports were heard from famous scientists from the People's Republic of China, Canada, the Russian Federation, Mongolia, etc

During the conference, negotiations were held with a representative of the higher education institution “Irkutsk National Research Technical University” and areas of possible interaction in the scientific and educational spheres between higher educational institutions were discussed. An agreement was reached to work out the issue of signing a cooperation agreement between universities. Business contacts have been established with other foreign educational and scientific institutions and organizations in the areas of activity of the university.There was also a meeting with Ms. Feng Guisha, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Baotou Municipal Government, who emphasized the importance and significance of establishing friendly and business ties between Gomel and the city of Baotou (People's Republic of China).
