October 24, 2023 a meeting between foreign students, undergraduates and russian language trainees with the officers of Citizenship and Migration Department, Border Guard Service, University administration was held in our university. The goal of this meeting was compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, prevention of law offences and crimes among foreign students, prevention of cybercrime.

The meeting was attended by: Deputy Head of the Department of Investigation, Administrative Process and Legal Support of the Directorate of Operational-Investigative Activities of Military Unit 1242, Lieutenant Colonel O.L. Sinyakov, Police Captain, Inspector of the Citizenship and Migration Department of Sovetsky District of Gomel, I.M. Kononovich, Vice-rector for Education and Educative work A.V. Shapovalov, Head of the International Relations Department N.L. Zhuravskaya, as well as specialists of International Relations Department, etc.

The meeting focused on the issues of lawfulness when crossing the state border of the Republic of Belarus, registration of documents for travelling outside the Republic of Belarus, submission of documents for re-registration to the Citizenship and Migration Department in advance when changing the place of residence, legal employment of foreign students in the territory of the Republic of Belarus, registration of medical insurance, prevention of cybercrime.

During the meeting, a short video was presented to prevent foreign citizens from illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of Belarus.

For a correct understanding of the issues discussed, the International Relations Department provided translation into English and French.
