In accordance with the plan of scientific events on October 19-20, 2023 VIII International Scientific and Methodological Conference "Problems of Modern Education in Technical University" was held in Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel. The aim of the conference: study, generalisation and extension of advanced experience of specialists training with higher education, application of modern educational technologies and methods of educational process organisation in higher educational institutions of technical field.

The organizing committee received 80 reports from 13 educational institutions and organizations, prepared by 119 authors from Belarus, Russia, Turkmenistan, Yemen and India. The conference heard 72 reports.

The representative of Ajeenkya D.Y. Patil University (Pune, India) Dean of International Division Vijayakumar Varadarajan took part in the Conference. At the plenary session he told about educational and scientific activities of the University and possible directions of cooperation with our university.

In the speeches of the conference participants the results of the organisation of rating assessment of the departments and teachers of higher education institutions according to the indicators agreed with the system of indicators established by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the experience of interaction of Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel with industrial enterprises in the training of energy specialists, as well as the analysis of the main trends of flexible training models focused on digital technologies in the field of education, in order to develop a strategic approach to the development of a new approach to the training of energy specialists, were presented.
