On September 16, the city of Gomel celebrated its 881st anniversary. The start of the festive events dedicated to City Day was given on the Gomel embankment.

     At one of the most beautiful locations in the regional center, the grand opening of the holiday and a concert with the participation of Belarusian pop stars took place, in which management, staff and students of the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel.

Also, as part of the celebration of City Day at the site near the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel in the Sovetsky district, an exhibition of achievements and new projects “Gomel is a creative city!” Our university allowed guests to momentarily feel like they were in Africa, and for this they did not even have to travel a distance of several thousand kilometers.

It was possible to get acquainted with the rich natural resources of African countries, their ancient history and traditions. The photo exhibition “Faces of Africa” was presented to the attention of visitors, and a master class on painting Egyptian papyrus was held by culture bearers. Students and groups of the student amateur art club represented our university in a festive concert at the main building of the Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel.

The bright end of City Day was the festive fireworks!
