Vasily Semenovich Novikov, chief inspector of the central council of the union public chamber, vice-president of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, chairman of the section of interdisciplinary problems of science and education, laureate of the State Prize of Russia, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Economics, academician, professor visited the university in order to discuss issues of joint participation of P.O. Sukhoi State Technical University and organizations of the Russian Federation, members of the section of interdisciplinary problems of science and education of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, in competitions for conducting research work of the Belarusian-Russian Foundation for Basic Research, as well as the preparation of joint publications and educational and methodological developments on June 16.

At an expanded meeting of the scientific and technical council of the Sukhoi State Technical University Vasily Semenovich conducted a brief excursion into history and told the university's scientific staff about the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, an organization created by the Constituent Congress on August 31, 1990 in Moscow at the initiative of a number of outstanding scientists in Russia representing academic, university and industry science.

 At the meeting of the scientific and technical council, on the basis of the decision of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Vasily Semenovich Novikov presented the Rector of the Sukhoi State Technical University Artur Vladimirovich Putyato the honorary medal of the Russian scientist and thinker Nikita Moiseev for merits in training engineering specialists of the Republic of Belarus and Russia.

The working visit of V.S. Novikov to the city turned out to be interesting and rich, allowed the guest not only to discuss issues of cooperation with university, but also to become closer to belarusian culture, but also presented bright emotions.
