Day of Youth in China
Every year on May 4, China celebrates Youth Day. This is a public holiday that is political in nature. It is associated with an important historical event in the history of the formation of Chinese democracy. It was on May 4, 1919 that youth began to speak out against the decisions made at the Versailles Peace Conference regarding the territories that previously belonged to the German Empire. Subsequently, the protests became a kind of impetus for the start of the national liberation movement in China.
The landmark event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Economics Maria Nikolaevna Andriyanchikova, Head of the Department of International Relations Natalya Leonidovna Zhuravskaya, teacher-psychologist of the Department of Educational Work with Youth Irina Mikhailovna Rubanovich. For convenience, all information was broadcast in two languages: Russian and Chinese.
