GSTU at the International Forum in Chernihiv

In Chernihiv the International Forum took place from January 22 to 24, dedicated to the issues of European social and cultural integration. Belarus was represented by the delegation from Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel under the direction of Vice Rector for Education and Educative Work, Doctor of Sociology, Professor Viktor V. Kirienko.

At the Forum the exchange of experience took place between Belarusian, Ukrainian and Swiss students and tutors concerning the problems of identity and mentality, family, youth, poverty, social and cultural integration.

Kirienko V. Viktor and Kleiman V. Vadim presented the work experience of sociological laboratory of GSTU, and results of sociological research 2018 for quantitative evaluation of the level and distinctive features of social and humanitarian cooperation of Belarusian and Ukranian border-zone youth.

Professors of St.Gallen University (Switzerland) Steve Stiehler and Stephan Schlenker conducted a series of trainings with students.

GSTU students Dorofeeva Ekaterina, Demidovich Irina, Malyarenko Ekaterina and Tkachenko Darya were actively involved into the Forum and presented their projects.

Forum participants were vividly communicating in English, German, Belarusian, Ukrainian and Russian, that made a point of creating an advanced foreign language course for our students.

The cooperation perspectives were discussed concerning participation in International research programs, experience exchange in work with youth. As a result of the Forum four international groups of students and tutors from Ukraine, Belarus and Switzerland have been organized, who will deal with the project realization in the framework of the Belarussian, Ukarinian and Swiss program of cooperation. In May 2019 Forum participants from Switzerland, Ukraine and Belarus will present their projects on the International research conference “Belarus in modern world”, which takes place in GSTU.
