On November 2, 2018 students and staff of GSTU took part in the talk show “Key Issue”. The topic of the program was “We feel at home. Why do foreigners choose Belarus? ”.

Today, more than 33 thousand foreigners temporarily and permanently live in the Gomel region. Each has its own story. Someone has come to study, fallen in love with Belarus and stayed here forever. Someone has been looking for a peaceful and stable life. So how does Gomel attract foreigners? It's been the main question of the show.

Vice Rector for Education and Educative Work Viktor V. Kiriyenko has been invited to the talk-show as an expert. He's answered what makes our country so attractive for foreigners, drawing attention to both the complexity of integration of any person in an unfamiliar culture, and the presence of unique socio-cultural code of every nation.

Among the program participants were our students from Congo, Cameroon, Nigeria, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Egypt.
